About Elmslie Tasmania
Only a 15-minute drive from Launceston is the beautiful Tamar Valley and, Elmslie is in the heart of it. The calming water of Tamar River combined with luscious green vineyard make for a perfect wine estate country-wedding. The centrepiece of Elmslie is a gorgeous Federation Homestead that was built in the 1900s. The vineyards are one of west Tamar’s oldest and a wedding ceremony overlooks mountains, water, and vines.
• The Old Brick Chapel even has a chiming bell and beautiful stained-glass windows. With only a small capacity, it is ideal for wedding ceremonies of up to 80 guests. You can also choose an outdoor ceremony on the lawns overlooking the vines or river with a setup complete with a wedding arch, aisle, and garden chairs for guests.
• Elmslie Restaurant caters to 100 seated guests with square or long wooden tables and chairs. White linen table cloths, with flower runners for guests and bridal tables. Linen napkins and choose your colour for napkins and chair covers. Large windows all around the restaurant on the first floor give guests a magnificent view of the landscape outside. Tea lights, wooden floors, and an outdoor balcony which are also part of your venue make it a winery wedding excellence.
