About The Astor Theatre
Ever thought of a wedding at a single-screen theatre steeped in timeless beauty and known for its state-of-the-art audiovisual technologies? The Astor Theatre has been open to the public since 1936 and is the last single-screen cinema of its kind. With a silver screen hidden behind gorgeous golden curtains, the theatre is preferred as a wedding venue by couples planning an art-deco-themed venue or looking for something unique and different from the usual wedding venues.
● The Auditorium has a seating capacity of 629 persons on the balcony and 486 persons in the stalls. It is mostly used for the ceremony since it is easy for all guests to view the wedding ceremony. The background of the golden curtains creates an elegant backdrop for the wedding photos.
● The Foyer - Couples usually choose to have the wedding reception at the foyer, which can seat 60 people for a banquet-style wedding reception. Also, it can host between 400-800 guests for cocktail receptions.
