Fort scratchy is located on Nobbys Road, New Castle, NSW. It is a fort situated on the eastern end of Newcastle where convicts created Australia’s first coal mine. It has a beautiful view overlooking the ocean below. It harbours conference rooms that are beautifully decorated to hold your wedding ceremony. It is a historical site that is beautifully renovated.

Fort Scratchley can host up to 120 reception guests and 200 ceremony guests. The function centre offers a contemporary, light-filled space with a view of New castle baths. You can hire the venue for any period so long as you book early to inconvenience any customers who had already made their bookings. Guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the deck while listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean below. It has high ceilings and an updated view for all to see the bridal table. The dance floor is spacious for you and your guests to dance the night away after the ceremony ended. It offers you wet weather options at the Barracks, a well-decorated hall.
