About The Old Church Estate

The Old Church Estate at number 10 Tatham Ellangowan Road in Tatham comprises 17 acres of rural landscapes and beautiful lawns and gardens plus a vast church. It is the perfect setup for a bush style wedding combined with a traditional church wedding with the church as a backdrop. The former church is Gothic-styled and today one of the top Heritage listed buildings in Australia. With its farm setting in the Northern River Richmond Valley, it is 45 minutes from Byron Airport, and a fifteen-minute drive will have you in Lismore where there are plenty of accommodation options for you and guests.

• The Dining Room caters to 120 seated guests in the magnificent church with its soaring 10 meter high ceilings and wood wherever you look.
• Outdoor Marquee caters to 350 guests, and when used, it also has access to the kitchen for your catering.
• The wedding ceremony can be held in the extensive gardens under towering gums, or in front of the church, at the waterside, the tree-shaded butterfly and birds garden, or wherever you choose as the entire property can be used.
