After graduating at the top of her class with a Bachelor of Arts in photography at Melbourne's RMIT University, Na Lia Weddings has gone on to photograph hundreds of weddings since 2014. Some of these have been featured and published in print and on digital platforms such as Hello May, The Anti-Bride, Dancing With Her, Nouba, HOORAY Magazine, Rock and Roll Bride, and many more.

There are two popular editing styles in wedding photography (bright & airy or dark & moody), and Shardey falls in between those two. Over the years, Olynyk fine-tuned her edit so that the images don’t age and are in fact literally, timeless. She keeps them looking rich, crisp, and sharp but never over the top.

Shardey Olynyk studied photography and graduated with honours with a Bachelor of Arts photography degree in Melbourne, Australia. There she learned all the technical aspects of photography focusing on lighting and composition. Shardey had a camera in my hand every single day for three years so she's very confident that you are in safe, professional hands.

Shardey is happy to travel and give favor to destination weddings where they will be covering engagement sessions, rehearsal dinners, wedding day, and day-after events.

The name “Na Lia” meaning “I love you” in the African language of Vai, originates from Shardey having an African/Ukrainian background and wanting a name that would not only reflect her passion but represent her ethnic heritage as well. With the influence of photographers running through the family, the idea of creating tangible heirlooms for clients was an undeniable career path.
