About The Royal Hotel

Started in 1857, The Royal Hotel has a long legacy of hosting guests and organising events. It was initially called “The Schnapper Point Hotel” and has hosted VIP guests like Prince Alfred, son of Queen Victoria. After his visit in 1876, the name was changed to its current one. The long heritage and story of the venue make it a great option for traditional and grand ceremonies.

Facilities and Capacity

The Royal Hotel offers well-established private function rooms for you to choose from for your wedding celebration. You can also opt for locations near the hotel, like Schnapper Point, Mornington Park, or even the Royal Beach. However, if you wish to keep it indoors, then use the majestic Victoriana Room for your event. With the capacity to host up to 100 seated and 150 standing guests, this vintage and classic room can also be used to organise reception dinners. If you have a larger number of guests and need more space, the restaurant area can also be booked. The entire venue can accommodate more than 300 guests in a cocktail-style configuration.
