The Old Coach Stables

Built in 1857, the place carries its history and culture with it. Laying on the once agriculturally rich soil, the venue is surrounded by stone walls that reflect the history of the place. After the area's complete renewal and restoration process, Scott and Melinda Medway now operate the business by entertaining couples.

Sitting across the hills of Southern Tablelands, facilities are located only 5 minutes away from Gunning Village. For regular wedding receptions, up to 140 seated guests can be accommodated. For cocktail-type reception, up to 240 standing quests can be hosted. There is a minimum number limit for guests, which is 60. The Old Coach Stables Restaurant also provides an open dancing and live music area.

The existence of wooden planks, chairs, and stone walls already creates a nostalgic environment. Barrel decorations and diachronic chandeliers are all available here. Additionally, venue hire includes setting up and clean-up services. Tables, chairs, and lighting designs are provided. Except for the additional floral design, everything is covered by the venue hire fee.

The newly renovated restaurant area offers various traditional food opportunities to satisfy different tastes. The venue has a partnership to accommodate the newlywed couple as well as their guests. You can find a tranquil place to stay after your ceremony or reception in Gunning, Dalton and Yass areas. Gunning Barbour Park also offers free camping and AirBnB options.
