About Elizabeth Bay House
Located at an elevation, towering over Elizabeth Bay, Elizabeth Bay House is among the most beautiful, hidden gems of Sydney. The magnificent views of Sydney Harbour and surrounding areas can be viewed from this beautiful spot. Constructed by architect John Verge, the Elizabeth Bay House was the home to Colonial Secretary Alexander Macleay and his family from 1839 to 1845. Considered the most fantastic house in the entire colony, Elizabeth Bay House has grown into its colonial image. Comprising elegant furnishings, ideally preferable for more intimate celebrations and gatherings, Elizabeth Bay House wedding venue has increasingly grown famous as the perfect spot for hosting cocktail-style wedding receptions.
A principal feature of Elizabeth Bay House wedding venue is the saloon that features a magnificent domed ceiling and sprawling staircase. This event space can cater up to 100 guests in a standing wedding ceremony or event. The bride's entrance is a real highlight, with a string quartet playing from the upper level. Another exciting and notable feature of the house is the sandstone verandah that encircles the home, enabling guests to relish the harbour's uninterrupted view. Taking a short stroll, guests can take in the soothing ambience of this unique venue.
• The hall and saloon
The hall and saloon is a combined event space that accompanies the sandstone verandah. Overlooking the stunning view of the Sydney Harbour, this space offers a marvellous break-out space that can be used for pre-function drinks and canapés. This event area is spacious enough to host an elegant cocktail reception for up to 100 guests. The Salon can also host up to 40 guests for a seated wedding banquet.
• The dining room
This event space is more appropriate for small and intimate weddings. Even though the setting is an intimate one, the antique mahogany table, candlelight, high ceilings, heritage decor, and an open fireplace gives the whole set-up a regal revamp. 24 guests can be hosted in this sophisticated and polished set-up. The original sandstone cellar serves as a nice cozy space for after-dinner drinks, dessert, and cheese.
● The venue provides services of a dedicated wedding coordinator from the professional team of venue services. The wedding coordinator would be working together with clients to ensure that the event is a success and leaves long-lasting happy memories in the guests' minds.
● The venue provides an in-house Audiovisual Services team responsible for providing clients with any audiovisual equipment that they may need. Apart from the equipment, the team would also help clients handle the equipment by providing technical support. A dedicated A/V operator would provide such tech-support.
● Guests will also be provided with an event supervisor's services, who will keep an eye on the event preparations.

The event manager at Fresh Catering is responsible for coordinating all areas of the event to ensure that event meets the client's standard of expectations. At the venue, serving red wine is limited because of the original flooring's conservation requirements. Red wine can only be served to guests when they are seated for banquet functions.
