About Dark Horse Receptions
Only 35 minutes from Melbourne CBD lies a stunning estate in natural bushland. Positioned in the tranquil Yarra Valley, the two-acre estate features an exceptional wedding venue that includes an ornamental lake framed by native Fauna. Rich in country charm with each season bringing a changing landscape, it is a personalized and individualized experience making each wedding reception unique. Dark Horse Chateau is one of the few wedding venues that only provides a limited number of weddings that ensure you experience a one-of-a-kind ceremony and reception.
● Choose from an outdoor or indoor wedding reception that caters to up to 100 guests. Couples can have a choice of pavilion, courtyard, or garden ceremony. It is the perfect rustic yet defined wedding space that also includes a dance floor. The use of beautiful grazing tables makes a bold statement to add to a country wedding's charm. Tables are dressed in white linen and napkins, while overlays and chair covers are in the wedding colour. There are silverware, white dinner sets, crystal glass and flower décor as centrepieces also part of the ceremony setup.

Catering is done in-house with impressive menu options and a perfect bespoke menu. Choose from shared platters to canapes, grazing tables, to full sit-down menus. The tables are decorated with a colourful array of boards, ornaments and flower arrangements. Included are Yarra Valley cheeses, crackers, bread, dips, fruits and preserves as potential entrée or guests can choose their own choices. Dark Horse Chateau caters to all dietary requirements that include vegetarian and vegan options.
