About Hanrahan Estate
Hanrahan Estate is reminiscent of a European countryside with its vine-strewn rolling hills that are complemented by a European timber barn. The prime estate was established in Gruyere in 1997 with 10 hectares of vineyards, 32.8 hectares of the property with a 600m Yarra River Frontage. As a prime estate in Gruyere, it is a picnic spot haven for wedding receptions. Hanrahan is one of the first wedding venues that introduced the Reverse BYO concept, where bridal parties bring their food while the estate provides all beverages and finest wines. Hanrahan offers bridal couples an eclectic European-style wedding that is immersed in rustic elements.
Wedding parties have plenty of picnic spots to choose from across the estate where you can pitch your marquee and bring along your blankets or chairs aside from the following:
Rustic Barn venue is an indoor option that caters to 90 guests seated. A huge modern barn with its natural rustic look with its high ceiling, wooden timber throughout is a country wedding at its best. The barn extends to the outdoors with picnic-style umbrellas when you want to extend your wedding to the outdoors from where you have lovely views of the Yarra Valley, mountain ranges, and Yarra River.

Decent rectangular, heavy hardwood tables, wooden slat folding tables, and folding chairs, as well as light steel chairs for the barn venue, are provided. Throughout the venue, natural elements are evident with shrubbery and flowers from the estate. Stoneware dinner sets, glasses, silverware on the tables, and the long bride's table are dressed in white table linen and flower arrangements.
