Rydges Geelong is located in Corner Gheringhap & Myers Street, Geelong, Victoria, Australia and it is one of Geelong’s leading centre for events and conferences, along with quite beautiful weddings. It is suitable for your engagement party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. Without a doubt, it is ideal for a romantic wedding venue.
The Rydges Geelong has seven event spaces where your ceremony and reception can take place. All the event centres except Nautica poolside (by combining rooms) can accommodate up to 600 people.
● The wedding centre: It is the largest event area available at the venue. It has a stage built-in and has plenty of pillar-less floor space, making it an ideal dance floor.
● Karina: This room boasts natural skylights from the outside and is fitted with heaters and coolers. It has complete access to function foyer, which is ideal for pre and post-ceremony cocktails and drinks.
● Barwon: It contains in build audiovisual effects and can artificially control the climate and retractable skylights.
● Otway: It is an ideal location for post-event cocktails. Karina, Barwon, and Otway are usually combined to accommodate a large gathering of guests.
● Broadside: It is the largest conference area in the venue and can be used as a place to celebrate your wedding.
● Portside and starboard: Both these rooms are usually combined to accommodate huge crowds of people. The port side is a spacious room with an abundance of natural light, while the starboard is an ideal space to sit and relax.
● Nautica Poolside: This is an ideal setup for wedding ceremonies, pre-reception drinks, and cocktail parties. It can accommodate up to 40 people.
