David Ayliffe is the celebrant behind the Celebrant David business. Based in Melbourne, David officiates any wedding — from registry-style to formal and elegant ones — and he also offers emcee and DJ services to anyone interested.

Before choosing celebrant as his primary profession, David has had a diverse career. In particular, he worked for International Needs Australia and the Australian Red Cross as a donor relations coordinator. He also dabbled as a sales marketing manager and bequest officer for a time.
In January 2009, he got registered as a civil celebrant, and he has been in the wedding industry since then. Additionally, he is an author and is the founding secretary of Humanity in Need — Rainbow Refugees, an association that aims to help LGBTQ+ refugees in East Africa.
