Before becoming a celebrant, Naomi worked in external affairs in the petroleum industry. This job allowed her to travel to Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, thus giving her exposure to different cultures and people. Later on, while she was based in London, she worked as a manager in an international carbon offsetting business.
When she returned to Australia and started her own family, she decided to live more simply. She chose to get registered as a celebrant because being a celebrant allows her to work with people and celebrate special life events with them.
