Sharon Kershaw

Sharon Kershaw is a Melbourne-based celebrant known for her sense of humour and warm personality. She has a background as a performer, allowing her to make her ceremonies fun and creative instead of dull and stiff.

Sharon has a bachelor of arts degree in theatre, and so, for about 30 years, she had worked as a professional actor and singer-songwriter. In particular, she dabbled in a few television and film projects. Aside from that, she also has a diploma in fine arts (sculpture).
But after three decades of working in the entertainment industry, Sharon realized that her real passion is for weddings. For that reason, she trained as a celebrant through the International College of Celebrancy (ICC) and Victoria University. She obtained her certificate in 2011, and she has been a celebrant since then.
Currently, she is a member of ICC Alumni and Friends and the Coalition of Celebrant Associations (COCA).

As a celebrant, Sharon handles all the legal paperwork. Aside from that, she will also help you in planning your wedding ceremony. Sharon is all about creativity, so she accepts any idea or theme for your wedding, no matter how out of the ordinary you think it might be. She had weddings that had a pirate theme, a fairy tale theme, and the like in the past.
Sharon is also a supporter of marriage equality; as a result, she can officiate same-sex weddings.
