They turned not only my vision into a beautiful look, but did an amazing job with my bridesmaids as well. Where do I start? I first found Sarah’s business on Easy Weddings. I contact her and obtained a quote for my wedding, we conversed mostly via email but in the one phone call we had prior to me paying a $400.00 deposit I asked if the trial would be covered using that... money, she replied yes and agreed that if I was happy with the trial with the Hair and Make Up artist I would then pay the remaining balance.

6-7 months later, my trial is coming up, she emails me confirming I will only have ONE person do my trial as she has lost a staff member. She asked me for a further $276.00 on top of the $400.00 already paid for a service I have not yet tried. So $676.00 that would then be non refundable even if I didn’t like the hair and make up trial “As per our Terms & Conditions, deposits are non refundable.”

Her pricing was slightly inconsistent throughout our email correspondence and she tried to charge me $60.00 travel fee for an artist who lived less than 3km from my house, when I mentioned this to her she then dropped it to $20.00 (still ridiculous) and tried to absorb it elsewhere months later - to then tell me her prices have increased due to covid. Which is her trying to change the original agreed amount and arrangement.

When I asked her for a refund she said no refunds under any circumstances. She has since gone in and changed her wording.

Which leads me to my next point, have you seen her business Facebook page? Over 5000 likes (questionable) coming from a marketing background or even just as someone who uses social media on a frequent basis you would know that if someone has 5000 GENUINE profile likes that if you were to post anything you would generate more than 1 like and at-least a few comments? …. Not in this case … then heading over to her reviews sections … there were over 5 recent reviews all posted exactly 2 weeks ago (from when I started investigating the legitimacy of the profile) and ALL from fake profiles … each profile clicked in has limited information and a few things in common ..

1. They all had limited information and profile transparency.

2. Had a link shared on their profile in April from a business in France?

3. All resided overseas in America.

4. Reviews were only 5 star and positive and very over the top exaggerated.

5. Sarah has been on Maternity leave for just over a year.… yet one of the fake reviews was dated around the same time she would’ve just had her babies claiming that she had done the hair and make up for the bride to be …. Sarah made it clear that she was a busy mum and had no intentions returning to the front floor anytime soon as her children kept her busy enough (understandably so) BUT just another reason that confirmed these accounts were fake.

I raised this with her very recently and she replied denying it all, acting very confused and advised Google marketing specifically targeted her overseas clients who flew here to have their weddings recently! …. Hmm!

I contacted Sarah professionally and likely after seeking multiple avenues of advice asking for my refund as based on recent events I wasn’t comfortable going ahead with the trial or her service for my wedding as the original terms in which I paid a deposit for had changed and I was no longer getting a service I had wanted or paid for. Sadly Sarah didn’t like being caught out and has turned quite nasty via email not to mention she has since deleted her Facebook page and tried to change her name on Google which I caught her out on and she has now removed all her Google information aswell which stops anyone from giving a review.

I told her that I wouldn’t leave a review should she cooperate amicably and provide me with my refund and I truly thought we could just part ways peacefully. Instead she turned nasty and in her owned words threatened me if I were to speak up.

I am a customer, reviews are here for a reason right? Whether good or bad - what important is that the information provided is true and correct/ factual. I have done my best to be as accurate and factual as I possibly can.

I have been so thorough that I have even screen shot and screen recorded multiple bits of evidence in the event she deleted it or just disappeared to hide from the truth.

It’s sad, I didn’t want to come down this hard on her but one thing I won’t ever tolerate is a liar and most definitely not someone who is taking advantage of someone and trying to be deceitful in how they conduct business. read more
