About Perth Zoo
A zoo can sound quite weird to be a wedding venue. However, it can be a serene place for you to host a lovely and sophisticated wedding while closely connected to nature. The Perth Zoo is one such venue with some exotic locations for you to exchange your precious vows with your significant other. Situated in South Perth, Western Australia, it has anything and everything to make your big day a glorious and memorable one.
Despite being a zoo, its rich gardens and open spaces make it an ideal wedding spot. It also has indoor options for your convenience.
● The Garden Marquee is an indoor dining space with 160 seating capacities and standing area for 200 people. It has a sober white décor with light golden chandeliers hanging on top.
● Speaking of outdoors, The Oak Lawn can seat 120 people for dining in, and 200 for a classy cocktail party. It is decorated with fairy lights and is a full-on party spot. This location is also just a couple of steps away from African Savannah to the function centre.
● The Homestead Barn is an excellent indoor and outdoor combo. It has a lovely balcony overlooking the rustic Australian bushwalk—the interior consists of the basic barn setup which can hold 100 standing guests. For intimate weddings with 50 or fewer guests, it can seat everyone for dining.
● The Japanese Garden is the perfect space who search for a more private location. It has built-in seating space for 120 people and grassed amphitheatre. You can use this location for natural wedding ceremonies without the need for extra seating hire.
