About Western Australian Maritime Museum
Symbolic of Fremantle’s past, the Western Australian Maritime Museum is on the shore of the Indian Ocean. The venue hosts many iconic vessels like the Parry Endeavour and Australia II, giving you perfect photographic options.
It caters to various functions, including maritime and historic wedding receptions with tonnes of sophistication. Exploring the Museum with its unique galleries’ visitors experience from handcrafted sailboats to leisure boats and commercial pearl luggers.
• The Function Centre and Balcony cater to 150 seated guests and 200 cocktail-style receptions. The north of the venue features full floor-to-ceiling glass with spectacular views and opens to a magnificent curved balcony that forms part of the forum. Guests have uninterrupted views of the grandeur of Fremantle’s Harbor. On the southern side of the room are glass walls that offer dramatic views of Western Australia artifacts and the Trixen pearl lugger frame.
• Australia II Gallery is extraordinary as it is onboard the Australia II, the iconic ocean racer. The gallery hosts 60 seated guests and 150 cocktail guests and creates the perfect maritime wedding with the beautiful backdrop of the yacht.

The expansive windows covering the wall in the space provided a fantastic sea view of the room. It has a unique decoration both architecturally and historically. Simultaneously, the historical texture of the place offers a nostalgic wedding experience. You can decorate the venue with tables, chair covers, linens and other decors as your wish.
The Museum uses only the catering company Heyder & Shears for its modern cuisine from professional chefs specializing in exquisite wedding menus. Sample menus include canapes when your guests arrive. The team also offers several entrees like grilled prawns, vegetarian options, followed by mains like roast beef, macadamia, potato gratin, and wild greens with a vegetarian choice of ravioli.
