About Pete the Celebrant
Pete, the Celebrant, is a Victoria-based marriage celebrant who offers his services to clients in Melbourne, Yarra Valley, and beyond. He is one of the youngest celebrants in Melbourne, and he also serves as the host of The Wedding Guide Podcast.
Pete originally lived in Sydney, but he moved to Victoria to live his dream of becoming a youth pastor. However, while he was working as a pastor, his worldview changed, and he decided to change the direction of his career path.
At that point, he was aware that public speaking was something he was good at, so he decided to become a celebrant. Right now, Pete takes on an average of 80 couples every year.
As your celebrant, Pete will make sure to create a ceremony that perfectly represents your unique love story. To achieve that goal, he will meet with you and get to know you and your partner. He will also ask for your opinion now and then, allowing you to personalize the ceremony as much as you want.
In addition to conducting your ceremony, you can also ask him to be the emcee for your reception — or any other kind of event. Pete is also skilled in presiding over elopements and funerals and hosting trivia events.
