Before becoming a celebrant, Ray started in finance, but when the stock market broke down in 1987, he worked as an international flight attendant. He loved being a flight attendant, mainly because he could travel to new places and get exposed to other cultures.
After a few years of travelling around, he returned to Australia because he realized his real home. So, he decided to study how to become a celebrant at the Lifeskills Training College, and now he is currently working as a full-time celebrant.
