About Australian Museum
The Australian Museum is arguably the most historic and iconic venues a couple can choose to marry. It won’t be like other traditional or even modern wedding experiences. Instead, this venue will be a unique experience of its own. Eating surrounded by a lifetime of history of the planet is certainly an experience no guest or couple would ever be able to forget. The Australian Museum offers customers different event spaces to get married at an extraordinary venue.
• There is the No. 1 William, which offers guests a stunning view of the St. Mary Cathedral and is located at a right height. With a balcony runs the venue’s full length, you have a panoramic view of the city. Also, this space can host up to 150 guests in banquet or 200 guests in cocktail style.
• 1892 is the venue that gives you to have a wedding in a historic place. Its self-contained function makes it private and unique. In total, it can host up to 90 guests in banquet or 140 guests in cocktail style.
• Couples can decide to get married in the Harbour View Room & Terrace and even throw their dinner party there. The deck of the museum offers beautiful views of the city skyline. It can accommodate up to 80 guests in banquet and 100 guests in cocktail style.
• There is the Westpac Long Gallery, which dates back to 1857. It has a vast collection of 200 treasures of the Australian Museum, which guests at the wedding could take a look at while dining. You can host up to 90 guests in banquet or 170 guests in cocktail style.
• Wild Planet is the first permanent gallery in the museum. While you host your weddings, guests can look at over 400 animal specimens. It can accommodate up to 80 guests in banquet and 200 guests in cocktail style.
