About National Art School
The National Art School wedding venue offers an atmospheric Cell Block theatre for memorable wedding ceremonies and celebrations. Located behind the convict-hewn sandstone walls, this space highlights the art in all its aspects.
Space has a historic appeal and is beautifully located in the heart of Sydney. Along with the Cell Block Theatre venue, the guests can also hire grounds and the sheltered campus surrounding.
The venue has hosted numerous functions, including cocktails, weddings, commercial launches, dinner parties, photoshoots and many more. Space has a charisma that makes every event memorable and undoubtedly charming.
The sandstone wall is 10 metres high and gives an incredible appeal to the inner cathedral. Space influences its historical status as old Darlinghurst Gaol's women wing. This space has earlier witnessed the doom of infamous criminals like Kate Leigh, also known as the "Queen of the Underworld.” However, the cells are removed, and space has been expanded to create a venue. Still, the walls show the past by embracing their presence.
The National Art School wedding venue has courtyards that surround the Cell Block Theatre offers perfect space for entertainment to compliment the indoors.
